Google Penalizes Link Sales - Grows Monopoly

Google, that massive advertising link farm, has taken the next step in its monopolization of Internet revenue generation by demanding its affiliates stop selling links outside Adsense. It’s recent penalization of sites selling links directly or through link exchanges is a case in point for government intervention into a monopoly. Any of Google’s affiliated sites must buy links through Google’s own Adwords or the site is banned from the primary search results and it’s “Google Page Rank” dropped drastically. The results are far less traffic and far less revenues for website owners. The practice is monopolistic in so far as it skews its search results in favor of those that buy from them, affiliates of their advertising network, and affiliates of its link farm. The public is defrauded into thinking that Google is a search engine as it expands its advertising link farm using heavy-handed gold shackles on websites and presenting in it’s primary search results its own properties and those of its affiliates.

While the slick media propagated through the Google PR machine tries to paint a very democratic process and the image of a search engine, the reality is far different. It’s recently adopted motto of “Don’t be evil” mere lip-service to a duped public as it continues to obscure it’s real schemes of complete domination of content and traffic.

For years Google has dictated the terms of websites style and appearance. Frowning on the artistic in favor of the easily searched text. In fact the reason such rules for laying out websites exist is solely for the incompetence of the programmers at Google to search or allow alternative ways to get information on a site into their engine. Flash sites are ignored rather than making an effort to index them. Penalized for creativity the Internet has been forced back to the initial dark ages of html based pages so that the crippled search engines could pick them up.

Selling Your Domain. To Auction or Not to Auction?

Looking to capitalize your domain names fast? Putting your domain up for auction may be just the ticket for sales with a side benefit of promotion.

The first ticket to ride is Ebay auctions. I have seen no proof that these provide a lot of big sales but they will garner sales for low priced domains. One thing to remember, a listing on Ebay will get search engine placement for your terms. I have used this technique to place million dollar domains up for attention and search returns. The unexpected result was a huge up-tick in parking revenues that offset the Ebay auction costs and returned better than any Google Adsense advertising would.

Finding ways to match domains to sellers has become a big business and many big name companies are working hard to facilitate – for an ever-increasing price. Investor funded efforts like Sedo and Afternic have dominated the domain sales market for years but are costly and recently doubled their fees. Individual and personal efforts have always been the most lucrative for sellers and the best deal for buyers. The way the business works no doors are closed so there is nothing better than looking at new avenues to market your domains.

Recently these big name houses have started to add online and live auctions to the mix. These auctions have provided increasing sales and are bringing more attention to the domain name market. All positive business as far as that goes. But what does it take to make these auctions?

Some of the big multi-million dollar auctions recently provide lists of names for auction and the promotion and activity seem to revolve around specific owners and in house domains. As the big houses now provide “better” service for “larger” fees one can assume that business model works all the way down the line of services.

How can you level the field or at least put your foot in the pie as a buyer or seller of domains?

Take the jump and get on as many auction sites as you can. Pay particular attention to free auction sites. Why? Free auction sites are most likely run by other domain owners and built out to promote the domains as much as gather attention for sales. Here is an environment where open floor auction is there for every search engine, buyer and seller free. It is free advertising with a possibility of sales and that cannot be beat.

One such site is http://www.winyourdomain.com/ run by the Win Your Dot Com people. This site is completely free. Listings, purchase and sales go without any cost to the buyer or seller. Support for the site comes from additional highlighting, feature listings, or just pure support donations to help get more advertising for the site. Win Your Domain is geared to the individual domain name holders to allow direct sales between buyers and sellers without the need for high priced fees. Once the sale is agreed the people can choose anyone to do escrow or continue to just do business as normal.

Putting your name up for auction is a good idea and you should add these suggestions to your domain-marketing regime.

FLV Video Share Sites Streamline Band and Music Promotion

FLV Video Share Sites Streamline Band and Music Promotion

Streamline your marketing and promotion with niche streaming web sites. The amazing onlinetv rage is right here and growing. Internet marketing attention is focused on broadband streaming media and nothing could be better for your music than a slice of that attention. This is a marriage made in heaven streaming media and music video.

With the free, built into Microsoft Movie Maker most everyone can take their audio file and with a little creativity make it into a compelling video. Music videos are no longer a barrier for bands to take advantage of the onlinetv revolution. Just pop some cool pictures or some video shorts from your mini-cam, lay in your audio tracks and viola! You have made a simple music video to get that song out. A video with title, credits, lyrics and a message where viewers can buy it will more than suffice as a promotional tool. Don’t forget “Where is the next gig?”

Who has not heard of Youtube or Google video? These amazing amalgams of everything under the sun stand as monolithic compendiums. There must be more than 100 million videos on these sites containing an inexhaustible variety of material covering every topic under the sun. This makes them the world’s largest central repository for video. Like a dictionary containing every word it has the drawback it cannot be read even if using an index to find something. If you are not the most popular or the featured few darlings your message never sees the light of day, except by you. Google’s top 100 videos are populated with soft porn girlies and that is hard to compete with.

Never let it be said that having your music video on Youtube or Google should not be done. Au contraire, that is the first thing you would do followed by posting that video to your MySpace account. What did you say? You don’t have a MySpace account? Then go get your Myspace now! The accounts are free, easy and worth the effort. Move! Get back here when you are done baking that cake.

Now it is time to put some frosting on your cake. Frosting for this project is exemplified with a video share site like MusicTV Video Share. A shared video website designed with a specific focus on music. This is the oldest site streaming on the Internet. Even before Real or Microsoft had streaming software MusicTV.com was broadcasting live bands from New York City and London using its own software. Every week over 20 live concerts of independent bands were broadcast live and then archived on the Internet. Amazing! Even Keane played for them! While they no longer stream live they have put up a new video-sharing site at http://www.MusicTV.com/share/ that offers almost all the features of Youtube as well as the name and heritage (page ranking!) of MusicTV. The video share site is now only weeks old so you have an opportunity to rule the front page and the search engine results!

You can download your YouTube flv file using http://www.vixy.net saving time to upload with the smaller flv file, or simply upload your original (under 100meg) right onto the MusicTV.com servers. The service handles the conversion of most formats if you do not have an flv file. You will end up with an embeddable flv video as well as a URL for places that do not let you embed or email! The page is a perma-link home for the song that can be attached to your “group” at MusicTV Video Share. The offered code works in MySpace.com, Blogger.com and just about all the web sites that allow embed code. MusicTV Video Share has community resources that include; your own personal profile, messaging, friends, favorites, play lists, groups and other tools to help you expand your fan base. You can use the community by populating your profile with your music videos, pictures, and information while you form a group using your band name to gather new fans. It works. You can then send email to your friends directly from your account at MusicTV. It is all simple and easy.

MusicTV.com has always worked for the independent musician and labels. Independent labels are invited to form groups and showcase their bands. There is a special program for selling your CD’s or downloads through Video Seconds the online DVD and audio CD sales outlet available on MusicTV Video Share.

The important thing is to get you onto these sites when they start and are fresh. MusicTV Video Share is new and will launch out in full this September. You have the opportunity to be the first there and that means front page! Google cache!

Niche streaming is the future and finding a place where you can stand out within your niche gets more difficult each day. You will see more niche streaming sites growing out as the proliferation of site offerings becomes overwhelming. Finding the bests sites to get your music heard and seen will be of great significance. When the next big wave comes are you ready to ride it? Get on MusicTV Video Share so I can see you already!

Sandmap An Emerging Internet Search Engine

It was not long ago on an expedition through the searing hot deserts of Mesopotamia that our caravan arrived at a certain lush oasis hidden deep in the sands, time long forgotten. We passed down lanes shaded by pomegranate, lemon, orange blossoms, and jasmine with the sound of fresh water bubbling around us, the waters hidden under the sand. Several wizened elders appeared and joined the procession to hasten us to a large shaded clearing where we parked our transportation and shook the weeks of sand from our sweat laden wool wraps.

Before us stood a large Arabian style tent, colorful flowing banners flapping in the wind with mystical rhythms. While we took in this spectacular sight several young boys arrived, silver trays in hand, laden with steaming teapots, glassware and sweets. A methodical ancient tea ceremony had just begun. The air was soon filled with the sweet smell of mint as tea was served. The conversation began to unfold a deeper meaning as the elder wise men started to manifest destiny for us.

These men were the keepers of the knowledge; the question of the Sand Map lost to time was answered here long ago. Our weeks of hardship crossing the myriad dangers of the shifting sands, scorpions, and pirates in the desert had finally taken us to the fountainhead of knowledge. Our hosts provided us with the mystic details, drawing the Sand Maps, like Navajo sand paintings, in the wind-shifted dunes. The intricate patterned symbols of math, earth, wind fire and water blended to correlate the movements of time and space in tune with the Internet search for information. An ever-changing myriad of information and coexistence rising and falling like the sands of time with nothing but the wind to shapes its destiny.

The elders were etching the information into the sand as we all carefully studied the manifestations revealed before our eyes. This formulation would carry us into the future and show us the next step in evolution for search portals. As time folded into itself our participation in the manifestation and utilization of this realization took us well beyond our own simple frustration. The meaning of the universe can be origination. The Start.

Interpersonal relationships exist on the existential plane with each grain of sand relative to the next. That is how the Sand Map manifests. Mandelbrot has nothing on the Sand Map, as it's very creation feeds on the rise and fall of all the parts of its whole. Already a part of the Sandmap the burden of destiny is now upon you to provide. Your knowledge of the lost secrets now a responsibility to the holder of same. Let there be no more secrets; put your site on the Sand Map today.

Sandmap.com, the Internet search engine, incorporates a viral program to expand the concept of back links, community, authority sites, and SEO with a series of links to your site. The starting point for all site owners is to submit sites links with graphic logo and descriptions as a standard mode of operations. Your participation your only cost. Like life itself this grows within the bounds of freedom to participate and provisions have been made for more liberties.

Sandmap.com lets you go further to enhance your web site along the road to better search engine optimization, higher ranks, and increased visibility in a quickly changing environment. Enhanced listings allow direct links and a conduit for supporting and expanding the Sand Map. This sponsorship allows your site a one-click experience for the Sand Map visitor and direct links for search engine rank, SEO, and increased site authority. Individual pages can be enhanced with more graphics and better placements all through congenial sponsorship. Enhancing your own site enhances the Sand Map and its community as the sponsorship resource is put back into gathering more promotion and the sands reach out to cover more in the vast Internet space.

The Sand Map community is spreading with the winds of time and universe onto the Internet through search identification reinforcement. Sandmap.com allows user comments on sites as well as a site ranking system. Participation in your creations and the way they look on the map allows you to control your site and gain from its visibility. Feed the Mandelbrot with cross-links and pick up the Sand Map logo links and display your participation in the growth of the Sand Map. Feeding in the expansion of the Sand Map through time and space allows your own SEO to grow. We encourage sympathetic reciprocal linking to SandMap.com and to other sites listed within its mapping. The Sand Map allows each grain of sand to be a whole while each supportive of the next. This blends into a homogenous mix with a perfect authoritative role for your site.

Not all roads lead to the same instance but a Sand Map can provide enough to bring results for your efforts and participation. Try it out today and be part of the winds of time with Sandmap.com. Visit http://www.sandmap.com and start the experience.

Want to Buy a Domain Name? Want to Sell One?

Want to Buy a Domain Name? Want to Sell One? Well we found a lot of people have the same needs. You want to sell your domain name? You are looking for a domain name? You might even want a lot of domains to make a new network. Many issues face companies and people on the Internet and in the non-virtual world who are looking for or trying to sell domains and web sites/services.

From personal experience it is a daunting task and there are not too many tips and many pitfalls along the way.

I find that auctions and auction listings are very helpful as they lay out the prices and what people are paying these days. To get into the big auctions is no easy task and costs up to 30 percent of the sale! Many domains are often started at artificially low prices while the big parking houses push their own domains. Not a big deal really as that is what we should all be doing, pushing our domain names and getting them to those needing those names.

To help with this we found a new site called WinYour Domain that has free auctions and free auction listings in its launch period. You can list your domains and make your own custom store with logo and special URL locator just for you (bypassing the main pages). There are no costs to list, sell or buy! That alone can save you $1000’s on almost any domain!

The WinYour Domain site has a forum for buyers and sellers to talk and chat. Tips on site development, software, hosting and other subjects one might need to buy, sell, develop or host a website on the Internet.

We wish this guy luck in this new endeavor because it is open and does not get in the middle of a transaction. Once a sale is complete either you deal direct or you take it to your favorite escrow for 3 percent. It is a new site and pretty barren but with direct access to buyers and sellers with no costs it should be growing pretty fast.
